Welcome! Our organization is dedicated to aiding Families dealing with Childhood Cancer.Alexs Butterfly Net is A Non-Profit Trust we provide temporary monetary relief to families with children undergoing treatment for child hood cancer. When the family’s support they truly need is not availed to them. We conduct research through a short Questioner to evaluate where their needs are and direct them to the appropriate resources to fill in the gaps for total family health and wellbeing. With the hopes that those that we have helped are able to get back on their feet and start their lives anew.
For families dealing with Childhood Cancer there is hope around the corner, we are hoping to brighten your day. Our Mission is to help you with neccessities such as Phone Cards, Fuel Cards, Food Vouchers, or quite simply if the need arrises someone you can trust a shoulder to lean on when times seem their darkest. In June 2003 my oldest child Alex was diagnosed with Germinoma Brain Cancer, he was 10 at that time and it was very upsetting to all of our family, he was immediatly admitted to Maine Medical Center in Portland Maine and started a 4 month round of Chemo-Therapy followed by 2 months of Radiation. We were told that Alex was in remission in January 2004, on Febuary 3rd 2005 Alex was Re-Diagnosed and started more Chemo-Therpy treatments, we even made several trips to Boston to try a Stem-Cell Transplant and never got the chance to fulfil that for him as he passed on October 3rd 2005. So, we know where you are and have been there, We want Alexs Legacy of helping others to go on even though he cannot.
Remember Me
Remember me when flowers bloom
Early in the Spring
Remember me on Sunny Days
In the Fun that Summer Brings
Remember me in the Fall
As you walk through the leaves of Gold
And in the wintertime-remember me
In the stories that are told
But most of all remember
Each Day-right from the start
I will be forever near
For I live in your Heart
